  Yvette runs this location herself. So maybe because she doesn't answer to anyone she feels she can treat people however she wants. It seems she comes in when she wants to. I live locally and made a reservation for our guests who were from another country. We waited about half an hour for her to arrive the morning we were picking up. As were several other people.
  
  She would not accept their credit card because the name was not printed on it. She was adamant that it is was a debit card, which it was not. She said, "I take credit cards from many countries, I used a credit card from Saudia Arabia the other day and their name was on it.... it's not my fault that you don't have a proper credit card, there's nothing I can do." She would not rent them the car and she was so rude about it. Beware if your name is not printed on the front of your card, she will not accept it. We finally left this location and rented from the Avis/Budget up the road in Farmingdale and had no problem using that same credit card.
  
  Before we left, we tried to make it work out. By changing the reservation to my name, so we could use my credit card, but she could only make a new reservation, which was $200 more than the price they had booked. I asked if she could help us with the price, she said, "I AM helping you, it's not my fault his name isn't on his credit card... You're making this take longer. I thought you said you had somewhere you need to be..." Her attitude was shocking. They would have preferred to walk to where they needed to go rather than rent a car from her. After wasting an hour and half trying to make it work, we left.
  
  We went to the Avis/Budget in Farmingdale (only about a mile away) and it was completely smooth. Great Customer service. It took 10 minutes, was half the price and no problem using their credit card. I highly recommend the Farmingdale location, even if you have to take a bus or a taxi to get there. It's worth it, they know what they're doing and know how to treat customers.

  For me, the facility on Broad Hollow Rd in Melville was ideally located. The rates were quite competitive. The car was excellent. But the standout performance goes to the staff. The only time I've had an equally helpful, friendly and welcoming experience from a car rental agency was when I rented from this same location two months earlier. In my book, this experience could not have been any better!
